New Pietersburg

New Pietersburg was an informal settlement outside of Polokwane en-route to Seshego. Most of the residents were foreign nationals working in South Africa, although there were a number of South African citizen living here as well. The area had no infrastructure (power, running water, etc), crime was rampant and the living conditions horrible. Emmanuel Tabernacle got involved in New Pietersburg in 2008. The ministry reached out to the needy people of New Pietersburg spiritually with the Gospel of Jesus Christ as well as physically with various projects.  Local businessmen from the ministry got involved and helped to erect a structure for church services to be held at New Pietersburg. Services were held weekly on Sundays 09h00. Some of the main projects to help the area were the feeding of needy families, supplying of school clothes to children, blankets to family during cold winter months, etc.

In 2015 the local municipality decided that the informal settlement had to be broken down. The local municipality had erected RDP houses and some basic infrastructure in an area called Greenside. Many of the people of New Pietersburg relocated to Greenside. The church structure had to be broken down. The local municipality was not willing to give land in Greenside for the ministry to erect the structure again. Members of the ministry are involved in an on-going process to try and obtain land to erect a church structure. At present open-air services are held near the soccer field in Greenside weekly on Sundays 09h00. The feeding project is still running, with support is given to about 100 families in the areas, help with school clothes and blankets continue as well -  Appreciation to all the businessmen in the ministry and local businesses in Polokwane who have been involved through the years to reach out to the needs of the people in the area.

Remember Jesus' Words: “Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you have done it to Me” (Matthew 25: 40)
